Released on October, 1975, this song is still widely known and loved by many Japanese, both young and old.  This classic Jpop is covered by many artists but my personal best cover is by Hiroko Yakushimaru.  Her crystal voice really fits the tune.

There are many Japanese song that can be categorized as “Oh-en-ka　応援歌”, which means a song to cheer up ordinary people.  This song is definitely one of “Ohenka”.  The lyrics tell us that our life is a mixture of good times and bad times.  Even if you are in a despair today, there may be a brighter day waiting for us tomorrow.
