THE YELLOW MONKEY
Released in February 1996, this song the band's 9th single. After dissolved in 2004, the band was reunited again in 2016.
This song is one of the masterpieces of their previous works before 2004. The sound of Hammond organ added a solemn touch to this jrock almost like a hymn.
I picked this song as the first song at the beginning of the "令和 Reiwa" era. Now with the emperor Akihito retired, the "平成 Heisei" era is over on April 30th of 2019. New era of "Reiwa" has begun on May 1st 2019. Even though nothing changed in our lives, it feels somewhat different. One thing that is different from the previous year is that we had longer "Golden Week" holidays! I wish this new era will be filled with happiness and peace...
