風立ちぬ Kaze tachinu
松田 聖子 Seiko Matsuda
Released in October, 1981, this is her 7th single. This song was made by Eiichi Otaki. The song title was taken from the classic Japanese novel of the same title "風立ちぬ, Kaze tachinu (the wind has risen)", written by Tatsuo Hori.
This novel has inspired Hayao Miyazaki and he made an anime movie of the same title. The original story is about a girl who is at her death bed and her fiance.
This song doesn't really based on the original novel story and Seiko's high clear voice doesn't sound sad at all. But it becomes one of the popular songs for autumn.
