槇原 敬之 Noriyuki Makihara
Released in April 1991, this is his 2nd single. There are so many masterpiece among his hit songs I already picked up and recommended in this blog.
This is another masterpiece by this great storyteller.
The famous line is:
"愛 と いう 窮屈 を がむしゃら に 抱きしめた"
ai to iu kyuukutsu wo gamushara ni dakishimeta
the clumsiness called love I held it fiercely.
I translated "窮屈" as "clumsiness", but I'm not sure if it is the right word. "窮屈" in Japanese normally means physical restriction, tightness or some constraint and it isn't used with the word "Love". If you can think of any better word, please suggest it to me in the comment.
