Tokyo wa yoru no shichiji

Released in December 1993, this is their 5th single. Their stylish tune caught much attention back then. It was called "渋谷系 Shibuya-kei". The title of this song came from the album of Akiko Yano, "東京は夜の7時 Tokyo was yoru no shichiji". Only the number 7 is written differently. ”七" is Kanji letter for "7" in Arabic number.
This song caught attention again in 2016 when it was used in the closing ceremony of the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The title was changed to "東京は夜の七時〜リオは朝の七時〜, Tokyo wa yoru no shichiji ~Rio wa asa no shichiji." and the lyrics was arranged by Ringo Sheena, the creative supervisor and music director of flag hand-over ceremony.
