一風堂 Ippudo
Released in July 1982, this is the band's 6th single. When I heard this song as a child back in the 80s, the tune and the lyrics sounded so weird but somehow had an addictive charm. The visual of the lead vocal, Masami Tsuchiya stood out as eccentric.
This song gained popularity again in 1997 when SHAZNA released the cover version. I believe its charm hasn't been lost after 40 years.
