Released in November 1977, this is one of the many songs Masashi Sada wrote and sang.  This is a letter from a father to a son who left his hometown to start a new life in the city.  When the father found a scarecrow left alone in the field, it reminded him of his son being alone in the city.  Masashi Sada is very popular singer-song writer especially for his story-like lyrics.
